18 Feb St. Patrick’s Day Decor Ideas to Add Green to Your Table
Time to go green! It’s almost St. Patrick’s Day, which means your home needs a pop of green. I’m sharing my favorite St. Patty’s-inspired decor ideas and tabletop items. Since we won’t be going to the pub or parades this year, more people than ever will be entertaining at home on March 17.
For holidays like this one, I mostly look for small touches that look stylish and tasteful and can be reused at other times of the year. I allow myself to display one or two obviously festive items (think shamrocks, leprechauns and rainbows) and keep the rest in the color palette. Even if you’re not Irish, green is trending in the interior design world this year, so start shopping!
Here are my picks for St. Patrick’s Day decorations and tabletop items.
Patterned Plates
These plates would give your table a major glow up! The range of greens gets you in the St. Patrick’s Day spirit without being kitschy. And the bold pattern makes a statement, so pair them with a solid linen and plain accessories for a super chic tablescape.
Tabletop Topiaries
For flowers, I always go with real but greenery is a different story. Line them up across the table for a simple centerpiece.
Shamrock Plates
You’re in luck if you can snag these four leaf clover melamine plates. These are so versatile — great for glamming up the kids’ table, making an adults-only soiree festive or entertaining outdoors.
Green Goblets
I’m wild about these water goblets! Add these to your usual place setting for some St. Patty’s flair. I love how they can look casual or really elegant depending on how you style them. I’m even using similar ones for my wedding tablescape. Can’t wait for y’all to see it in a few months!
Chic Candle
Nest candles are my go-to for a home refresh. They have a long burn time, and the scent is strong without being overpowering. This candle is a great styling piece to add a hint of green to your coffee table or shelves.
Sage Napkins
The color is nice for a toned down St. Patrick’s Day table that could transition into Easter or spring. I’m all about repurposing so these feel like a worthwhile purchase to me.
Faux Eucalyptus Plant
Incorporate green into your table decor with more plants. The white container is classic and matches every home.
St Patrick’s Day Tea Towels
I swap the dish towels hanging on my oven for every season — and St. Patrick’s Day is no exception! It’s fab that this set has options. You can go all out with the shamrock print or keep the Irish pride more subtle with dots and stripes.
Sleek Beer Mugs
Everyone knows March 17 is really just a drinking holiday, and you have to enjoy an Irish beer or two. If you’re hosting guests, ditch the bottles and cans and serve brews in stylish mugs.
Modern Vases
These dark green vases are giving me life. Use these for your floral centerpiece or pop a pillar candle into them to turn them into hurricanes. These would also look great year-round styled with some pampas grass.
