25 Jan Simple & Elegant Winter Tablescape
Bringing you an easy idea for a winter tablescape! This is a super simple and stylish table setting to throw together for a dinner party. It only requires a few special touches to make it look really polished and elegant. The main items you need to get this look are beautiful charger plates, nice napkin rings and unique flowers.
Gold Charger Plates
A gold charger plate is a must-have for any entertainer! They are so versatile and work all year long, but I especially enjoy using them for the winter and holiday season. These gorgeous glass Vietri plates were an engagement gift, and I love how they have a little sparkle around the edges. Vietri just discontinued them unfortunately, so I rounded up some similar options below at various price points.
Pretty Napkin Rings
I am very limited on storage in my NYC apartment, so napkin rings are great for changing up a tablescape without taking up a lot of space in my cabinets. Pearls are such a classic look and can match anything. These were a very affordable Amazon purchase, but they look really sophisticated.
Interesting Flowers
The good thing about entertaining in a small city apartment is that you don’t need much on the table to fill the space. I grabbed two bouquets from the grocery store, and I was able to make a few arrangements. When flowers are going to be my focal point, I try to choose something interesting to the eye. These arrangements have thistle, carnations, baby’s breath and greenery. I’m no florist and have no background in flower arranging, but I have fun mixing different blooms and learning as I go.
This blue thistle adds a lot of texture, and they’re pretty inexpensive. They’re one of the few naturally blue flowers, so they work well if you’re incorporating the color into your tablescape. I love how the spiky shape contrasts with the soft white carnations and baby’s breath. A little greenery can also go a long way and help make your arrangement look more finished. And if you’re looking to really wow your guests, go for anemones. They are stunning winter flowers that really make a statement.
Final Touches
To finish off the look, you can use any neutral napkin along with flatware and glassware that you already own. Linking my exact silverware and glasses below as well as similar options for the napkins.
What do you think of this winter tablescape? Easy, right?
