16 Jan How to Style a Hot Chocolate Station
Winter weather calls for cocoa! A hot chocolate station with all the fun toppings is a necessity when hosting any event during the colder months. You’ll keep everyone warm and toasty with this seasonal beverage.

Here’s my ingredient list to help you get started with the shopping:

Extra Add-Ons
It would also be fun to make it boozy with Kahlua, Baileys, peppermint vodka or Amarula (Fun fact: I recently tried this South African liqueur on my honeymoon there, and now I’m hooked.)
Style Your Station
A DIY hot chocolate bar is easy to set up and will make you look like a pro host or hostess. The key to making it look cohesive and put together: Use similar shape and size vessels for all your toppings. I grabbed these mini dip dishes at Target for $2 each — such a steal — along with the coordinating mugs. I couldn’t resist a full matching moment. Even though I was only serving a small group, I wanted to make it feel like a true station, so I arranged everything on a wood board. It would also be cute to style everything on a nice tray or bar cart for a larger group.
I put together this hot chocolate station ahead of Valentine’s Day, but it could also work for Christmas, New Year’s Eve, birthdays, book club or any other winter party. The cute to-go cups with hearts are from Home Goods. (They always have the best holiday-themed coffee cups.) I also threw in some heart-shaped marshmallows and Valentine’s Day sprinkles.
A hot cocoa station is such an easy and crowd-pleasing idea for a winter event. Everyone at my house loved it — even my Maltipoo, Maggie, was eyeing it.
